Shipping Setup: Zones and Rate Tables
You can configure all of this from your Shipping settings page. Shipping methods can use:
- Flat rate pricing
- Optional rate tables by zone + weight
Step 1: Define zones
Zones group destinations (e.g. "Domestic", "EU", "Worldwide").
A zone can include:
- Specific countries
- Or a broader region (if your UI supports it)
Step 2: Create shipping methods
Each method has:
- Name + code
- Delivery/pickup type
- Base price (in store currency)
- Optional delivery time estimate
- Zones where it applies
Step 3: Add rate table rows (optional)
Each row defines:
- zone (or Any)
- min weight (kg)
- max weight (kg) optional
- price (and/or gross price if VAT included)
The system will pick the matching row based on:
- Cart weight
- Shipping address zone

Start simple with a few zones and a small table, then expand.
