BrickZap Seller Policies

1. Introduction

BrickZap is an online marketplace platform for LEGO®-related products, owned and operated by Future Ecommerce Ltd ("BrickZap", "we", "us", "our"). BrickZap provides tools and services that allow independent sellers ("Sellers", "you") to list and sell products to buyers through the BrickZap platform (the "Platform").

These Seller Policies form part of BrickZap's Terms of Service and apply to all Sellers using the Platform. By creating a seller account or listing items for sale on BrickZap, you agree to comply with these policies.

BrickZap is a platform only and is not a party to transactions between buyers and sellers, except where explicitly stated otherwise.

2. Seller Eligibility & Responsibilities

2.1 Eligibility

To sell on BrickZap, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate and complete account information
  • Have the legal right to sell the items you list
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and marketplace rules

BrickZap may request verification information at any time, including identity, business details, or payment information.

2.2 Seller Responsibility

Sellers are solely responsible for:

  • Their listings and product descriptions
  • Pricing, availability, and inventory accuracy
  • Packaging, shipping, customs, taxes, and duties
  • Buyer communication and customer service
  • Compliance with applicable local and international laws

3. Product Listings

3.1 Accuracy & Transparency

All listings must be accurate, clear, and truthful, including:

  • Correct item identification
  • Accurate condition (e.g., new, used, incomplete, damaged)
  • Clear disclosure of missing parts, substitutions, or defects
  • Correct quantities and variations

Misleading, deceptive, or intentionally inaccurate listings are prohibited.

3.2 Catalog Usage

BrickZap maintains a shared product catalog. When listing items:

  • Use the correct catalog entry whenever available
  • Do not intentionally misuse catalog items to gain visibility
  • Do not duplicate catalog entries unless permitted

Sellers may suggest catalog corrections or additions through BrickZap's catalog suggestion process, subject to review and approval.

4. Pricing & Fees

4.1 Pricing

Sellers may set their own prices. Prices must:

  • Be displayed clearly and accurately
  • Reflect the actual amount charged (excluding shipping and taxes unless stated)
  • Not involve deceptive practices or hidden charges

4.2 Fees

BrickZap may charge platform fees, commissions, or service fees as described in the applicable fee schedule. Fees may change with notice.

Sellers are responsible for reviewing current fees and ensuring pricing accounts for them.

5. Orders & Fulfillment

5.1 Order Handling

Sellers are expected to:

  • Process orders promptly
  • Ship items within the stated handling time
  • Use reasonable care in packaging to prevent damage
  • Provide tracking information when available

5.2 Cancellations

Orders should not be canceled without valid reason. Acceptable reasons may include:

  • Inventory errors
  • Buyer request
  • Payment failure

Excessive or unjustified cancellations may result in account action.

6. Shipping & Delivery

Sellers must:

  • Clearly state shipping methods, costs, and destinations
  • Ship to the address provided by the buyer
  • Comply with shipping and customs regulations
  • Package items appropriately for their condition and value

BrickZap is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs authorities, or force majeure events.

7. Returns, Refunds & Disputes

7.1 Seller Return Policies

Sellers must clearly define their return and refund policies. Policies must comply with applicable consumer protection laws.

7.2 Disputes

In the event of a dispute:

  • Sellers must respond promptly and professionally
  • Sellers are expected to attempt resolution in good faith

BrickZap may review disputes and, where necessary, take action to protect marketplace integrity, including account restrictions.

8. Communication & Conduct

Sellers must:

  • Communicate respectfully and professionally
  • Respond to buyer inquiries within a reasonable timeframe
  • Avoid harassment, abusive language, or threats

Off-platform solicitation, circumvention of BrickZap fees, or attempts to move transactions outside the Platform are prohibited.

9. Prohibited Activities

Sellers may not:

  • List counterfeit or non-genuine items
  • Infringe intellectual property rights
  • Manipulate ratings, reviews, or search results
  • Create multiple accounts to evade restrictions
  • Engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal behavior

10. Account Enforcement

BrickZap may, at its sole discretion:

  • Remove or modify listings
  • Issue warnings
  • Temporarily suspend selling privileges
  • Permanently terminate seller accounts

Actions may be taken without prior notice in cases of serious or repeated violations.

11. Policy Changes

BrickZap may update these Seller Policies from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policies.
