Item Listing Policy
Last updated: January 16, 2026
If you are a registered seller on the Site, you agree to follow the rules below when listing items for sale. We may remove any listing (and related content) without notice if, in our judgment, it does not comply with these rules. Repeated or serious violations may result in restrictions, suspension, or loss of selling privileges.
1. Items for Sale
- LEGO® brand products only: Listings must be for LEGO® brand products, except as expressly permitted under Sections 5 (Custom Sets) and 6 (Non‑LEGO Items). Other brands of construction toys are not allowed.
- No pre‑release listings: You may not list items before the official LEGO release date, including under custom lots or any related catalog entry.
- Authenticity required: All LEGO items must be genuine. Counterfeits and reproductions are prohibited, including replica boxes, photocopied instructions, or any other non‑original or imitation listing.
- Unmodified parts only: Parts must be authentic LEGO parts in their original, unaltered condition. Listings for parts that are custom printed, engraved, chromed, painted, or otherwise modified are not permitted.
2. Custom Sets
Custom sets and/or instructions may be listed if they do not infringe any intellectual property rights (including rights of the LEGO Group or third parties). Custom sets must not include modified parts or non‑LEGO components (including, for example, lighting kits or electric motors).
3. Non‑LEGO Items (Limited)
Certain non‑LEGO items that are closely associated with LEGO fan culture may be permitted for listing, such as literature about LEGO products, LEGO memorabilia, and materials used to support custom creations (for example, stickers, instructions, and boxes). We may decide, in our sole discretion, whether a particular non‑LEGO item is appropriate for the Site.
4. Listing Images
If you upload your own images, they must not be animated GIFs. If a GIF is used, it must contain only one (1) frame.
5. Stock, Quantity, and Fulfillment
- List only what you have: The quantity you offer for sale must not exceed the quantity you physically possess in the country where your seller account is registered.
- No drop shipping: You may not list items you intend to source from a third party after the buyer places an order.
- Limited pre‑order exception: A fan magazine or similar publication may be offered on a pre‑order basis only if the buyer is clearly informed in the item description that it is a pre‑order.
6. Listing Text and Comments
- You may reference shipping cost information in the comments field, but you may not set or “hard‑code” the item’s sale price in the comments field.
- Posting exchange rates in the comments field is prohibited.
7. Accurate Condition and Completeness
Item condition (for example, New/Used) and any sub‑condition (for example, Complete/Incomplete/Sealed) must match the Site’s definitions. For example, sets that have been built must be listed as Used, and sets missing minifigures must be listed as Incomplete.
8. Compliance with Laws
You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, including those relating to ecommerce, distance selling, consumer protection, commercial electronic messages, privacy, and any disclosures required to be provided to buyers before a sale, including providing buyers the opportunity to review, accept, or reject such disclosures and providing copies of terms of sale where required.
This policy is a starting draft for legal review and does not constitute legal advice.
