Requesting Quotes: How It Works
Some BrickZap stores let you request a quote instead of placing an order immediately.
A quote request sends your current cart to the seller for review. The seller can then confirm availability, adjust pricing if needed, add shipping, and send the quote back for your approval.
When you can request a quote
You can request a quote only when:
- You are signed in
- The store has quotes enabled
- Your account is allowed to request quotes for that store
- Your checkout details are complete
If you do not see a Request a quote button at checkout, that store may not offer quotes for your account or for that checkout.
How to request a quote
After you submit the request, BrickZap creates a quote from that cart and saves it to My Account → Quotes.
What the seller can review
When the seller reviews your quote request, they may:
- Confirm the items in the quote
- Update prices
- Add shipping charges
- Add notes
- Ask you to review adjustments
Quote statuses
You may see these statuses in your quotes list:
- Pending: Your request was received and is waiting for seller review.
- Processing: The seller is actively preparing or editing the quote.
- Available: The quote is ready for you to review.
- Approved: You accepted the quote.
- Adjusting: You asked the seller to make changes.
- Rejected: The quote was declined.
- Closed: The quote is no longer active.
What happens when a quote is available
Open the quote from My Account → Quotes to review:
- Items and quantities
- Shipping and totals
- Seller notes
If the quote is marked Available, you can:
- Accept quote to continue to checkout and payment
- Reject quote if you do not want to proceed
- Request adjustment if you want the seller to revise it
Tips
- Quotes are tied to a specific store.
- Check your quotes page for the latest status at any time.
- If you need clarification before or after the quote is prepared, see Messaging Sellers.
