Project Status Guide

Project status tells visitors and followers where the build stands.

Use it as a simple progress signal, not as a perfect record of every step.

Planning

Use Planning when you are still deciding what to build, setting up the project, or checking the parts list.

Example: you created a MOC project but have not started sourcing parts yet.

Sourcing

Use Sourcing when you are actively looking for missing parts.

Example: the project is ready, but you are comparing sellers for rare colors.

Building

Use Building when assembly has started.

Example: parts are arriving and you have completed the base or first section.

Completed

Use Completed when the build is finished.

Example: all sections are assembled and the project is ready to display or share.

Paused

Use Paused when the build is waiting.

Example: you are waiting for a shipment, saving the build for later, or deciding between design options.

How status affects the project page

Status appears near the project title and helps visitors understand the current stage.

It does not replace progress percentage, missing parts, or build updates.

When to change status

Change status when the build enters a new phase.

Good moments include starting part sourcing, beginning assembly, finishing the build, or pausing for a while.
